Just Start Walking

One of my clients was agonizing over the many options available to address her company’s ambitious Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals.

This reminded me of something one of my graduate professors, Roger Karsk, told me in graduate school: 

“When in doubt, just start walking. You will not get lost. Each path will take you to something you need to see, and will lead you to another path to consider. Don’t get overwhelmed with maps and compasses, just start walking. It’s a journey.”
