Beginnings

Jan 26, 2016 | Mindset

Sometimes it’s hard for me to start things.

Like this newsletter.

First, I wanted to find just the right focus.

Then I was worried about format.

Would your company consider this to be spam? Would you?

(That’s why we made it SO easy for you to go to the bottom and take your name off the list.)

And I had so many questions about distribution.

I was so stuck on doing it right that I couldn’t even get started.

One of my colleagues has a plaque that reads:
“Done is Better than Perfect.”

If you are operating on MY brain
Or piloting MY flight
Or fixing the brakes on MY car,

Please be perfect.

But in your other daily tasks,
Remember what Thomas Edison said:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10, 000 ways that won’t work..”

Done is sometimes better than perfect.

What are you putting off?
