Leadership, Culture, and Creating the New

This is my hall closet. Have you ever seen such a mess?!

This past weekend I wanted to make time to write a blog about our new website, coming soon. I also wanted to make time to clean out the hall closet. As I alternated between sorting the closet and making notes on the blog, I realized that I was cleaning out and getting ready for “the new” in both projects.

This past summer two of our adult kids made big moves, and my husband Bill and I offered to help. One of the ways I contributed was by taking their no longer needed items in order to donate them in a responsible and sustainable manner. The hall closet had become the discard pile, and it just kept growing and growing! Now that both kids are on their new adventures, it is way past time for me to tackle the closet.

Similarly, there are a lot of things about my current website that have accumulated and are no longer serving our needs. As cultural shifts have taken place over the last few years, Concordia Consulting has evolved. While leadership is still leadership, our website needed updating in order to reflect current workplace challenges and the solutions we offer. Leadership is looking at what is no longer serving you and your organization and creating change.

The new website will launch soon, and I am thrilled, especially with the color and movement. Working with Phil Reinhardt was a delight. Thanks to Phil, the process was smooth and easy.

In terms of the closet, let’s just say that I am sure there’s a floor under there somewhere and hopefully we will be reacquainted soon.
