Complimentary Goal-Setting Consult

Jul 9, 2024 | Leadership, Performance Management

Many of you who regularly read my newsletters know that I strongly believe in the power of goal setting. Sometimes when we think of goals, we tend to focus on only one aspect of our lives. Many of us focus on career goals, financial goals or health goals, possibly to the detriment of relationship, life purpose or recreational goals.

While we don’t want to overwhelm ourselves with too many goals, I encourage everyone to make goals for every aspect of their lives.

I am fortunate enough to have a CEO of a Fortune 500 company as one of my clients. At year end we had a standard year-end review, and then without my prompting, she provided me with her 2024 goals.

  • Improve my money management
  • Develop one new friendship with someone I really enjoy
  • Purchase a second property near water
  • Help my daughter get into vet school, in any way that I can be supportive
  • Start a new, tangential business
  • Accomplish the strategic plan of the organization that we just developed
  • Achieve the fitness goals I wrote with my personal trainer
  • Drink one less cup of coffee per day

While this CEO is clearly very ambitious, you should feel free to make your own goals less aggressive. We aren’t all the same, and therefore our pacing and what we hope to achieve will be different!

I am currently offering a once-a-month, complimentary goal-setting check-in. If you would like to be a part of it, just drop me a line.

If you would like to improve your workplace culture, leading to better employee performance, let’s set up a consultation regarding decision making.

What Keeps You Walking When the Weather Turns?

I went to see the Buddhist monks on Sunday as they walked steadily along Route 1 in Virginia. One single line with a remarkable cadence. They were calm, deliberate, purposeful and fast! Honestly? Faster than my jog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Tm_OWPdXbc This...
